Sean Payton Career
Payton did not get recruited in the 1987 NFL Draft. Still, he competed as a quarterback for different teams in the Arena Football League and Canadian Football League before entering the Chicago Bears during an NFL player’s walkout. He afterward returned to coaching in the US.
Sean’s coaching career started at San Diego State University and involved roles at several other colleges before entering the Philadelphia Eagles as Quarterbacks Coach. He afterward became Offensive Coordinator for the New York Giants and then entered the Dallas Cowboys as associate head coach and Quarterbacks Coach.
